Anticipated loss of major functional domain due to fusion event.MTF2-BRDT seems lost the major protein functional domain in Hgene partner, which is a CGC by not retaining the major functional domain in the partially deleted in-frame ORF.
MTF2-BRDT seems lost the major protein functional domain in Hgene partner, which is a essential gene by not retaining the major functional domain in the partially deleted in-frame ORF.
MTF2-BRDT seems lost the major protein functional domain in Hgene partner, which is a epigenetic factor due to the frame-shifted ORF.
MTF2-BRDT seems lost the major protein functional domain in Hgene partner, which is a essential gene due to the frame-shifted ORF.
MTF2-BRDT seems lost the major protein functional domain in Hgene partner, which is a transcription factor due to the frame-shifted ORF.
MTF2-BRDT seems lost the major protein functional domain in Tgene partner, which is a epigenetic factor due to the frame-shifted ORF.
MTF2-BRDT seems lost the major protein functional domain in Tgene partner, which is a IUPHAR drug target due to the frame-shifted ORF.
MTF2-BRDT seems lost the major protein functional domain in Tgene partner, which is a kinase due to the frame-shifted ORF.

Fusion Genomic Features for MTF2-BRDT

check buttonFusionAI prediction of the potential fusion gene breakpoint based on the pre-mature RNA sequence context (+/- 5kb of individual partner genes, total 20kb length sequence). FusionAI is a fusion gene breakpoint classifier based on convolutional neural network by comparing the fusion positive and negative sequence context of ~ 20K fusion gene data. From here, we can have the relative potentency of the 20K genomic sequence how individual sequnce will be likely used as the gene fusion breakpoints.

FUNCTION: Transcriptional activator which is required for calcium-dependent dendritic growth and branching in cortical neurons. Recruits CREB-binding protein (CREBBP) to nuclear bodies. Component of the CREST-BRG1 complex, a multiprotein complex that regulates promoter activation by orchestrating a calcium-dependent release of a repressor complex and a recruitment of an activator complex. In resting neurons, transcription of the c-FOS promoter is inhibited by BRG1-dependent recruitment of a phospho-RB1-HDAC1 repressor complex. Upon calcium influx, RB1 is dephosphorylated by calcineurin, which leads to release of the repressor complex. At the same time, there is increased recruitment of CREBBP to the promoter by a CREST-dependent mechanism, which leads to transcriptional activation. The CREST-BRG1 complex also binds to the NR2B promoter, and activity-dependent induction of NR2B expression involves a release of HDAC1 and recruitment of CREBBP (By similarity). {ECO:0000250}.FUNCTION: Testis-specific chromatin protein that specifically binds histone H4 acetylated at 'Lys-5' and 'Lys-8' (H4K5ac and H4K8ac, respectively) and plays a key role in spermatogenesis (PubMed:22464331, PubMed:22901802). Required in late pachytene spermatocytes: plays a role in meiotic and post-meiotic cells by binding to acetylated histones at the promoter of specific meiotic and post-meiotic genes, facilitating their activation at the appropriate time (PubMed:22901802). In the post-meiotic phase of spermatogenesis, binds to hyperacetylated histones and participates in their general removal from DNA (PubMed:22901802). Also recognizes and binds a subset of butyrylated histones: able to bind histone H4 butyrylated at 'Lys-8' (H4K8ac), while it is not able to bind H4 butyrylated at 'Lys-5' (H4K5ac) (By similarity). Also acts as a component of the splicing machinery in pachytene spermatocytes and round spermatids and participates in 3'-UTR truncation of specific mRNAs in post-meiotic spermatids (By similarity). Required for chromocenter organization, a structure comprised of peri-centromeric heterochromatin. {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q91Y44, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15647849, ECO:0000269|PubMed:22464331, ECO:0000269|PubMed:22901802, ECO:0000269|PubMed:9367677}.
