FUNCTION: Regulatory subunit of the calcium-regulated non-lysosomal thiol-protease which catalyzes limited proteolysis of substrates involved in cytoskeletal remodeling and signal transduction.FUNCTION: Liver-produced hormone that constitutes the main circulating regulator of iron absorption and distribution across tissues.
