Required for the organization of the mitotic spindle and for the proper attachment of kinetochores to MTs (PubMed:25789526). Promotes the recruitment of NUDC to the mitotic spindle for mitotic progression (PubMed:25789526). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:16890222, ECO:0000269|PubMed:25789526, ECO:0000269|PubMed:31409757}.FUNCTION: Receptor tyrosine kinase involved in nervous system and probably heart development. Upon binding of its ligand NTF3/neurotrophin-3, NTRK3 autophosphorylates and activates different signaling pathways, including the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/AKT and the MAPK pathways, that control cell survival and differentiation. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:25196463}.
