DeepORF prediction of the coding potential based on the fusion transcript sequence of in-frame fusion genes. DeepORF is a coding potential classifier based on convolutional neural network by comparing the real Ribo-seq data. If the no-coding score < 0.5 and coding score > 0.5, then the in-frame fusion transcript is predicted as being likely translated. |

Fusion Genomic Features for AIFM1-ARL3 |
FusionAI prediction of the potential fusion gene breakpoint based on the pre-mature RNA sequence context (+/- 5kb of individual partner genes, total 20kb length sequence). FusionAI is a fusion gene breakpoint classifier based on convolutional neural network by comparing the fusion positive and negative sequence context of ~ 20K fusion gene data. From here, we can have the relative potentency of the 20K genomic sequence how individual sequnce will be likely used as the gene fusion breakpoints. |

AIFM1 | ARL3 |
FUNCTION: Functions both as NADH oxidoreductase and as regulator of apoptosis (PubMed:20362274, PubMed:23217327, PubMed:17094969). In response to apoptotic stimuli, it is released from the mitochondrion intermembrane space into the cytosol and to the nucleus, where it functions as a proapoptotic factor in a caspase-independent pathway. The soluble form (AIFsol) found in the nucleus induces 'parthanatos' i.e. caspase-independent fragmentation of chromosomal DNA (By similarity). Binds to DNA in a sequence-independent manner (PubMed:27178839). Interacts with EIF3G, and thereby inhibits the EIF3 machinery and protein synthesis, and activates caspase-7 to amplify apoptosis (PubMed:17094969). Plays a critical role in caspase-independent, pyknotic cell death in hydrogen peroxide-exposed cells (PubMed:19418225). In contrast, participates in normal mitochondrial metabolism. Plays an important role in the regulation of respiratory chain biogenesis by interacting with CHCHD4 and controlling CHCHD4 mitochondrial import (PubMed:26004228). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q9Z0X1, ECO:0000269|PubMed:17094969, ECO:0000269|PubMed:19418225, ECO:0000269|PubMed:20362274, ECO:0000269|PubMed:23217327, ECO:0000269|PubMed:26004228, ECO:0000269|PubMed:27178839}.; FUNCTION: [Isoform 4]: Has NADH oxidoreductase activity. Does not induce nuclear apoptosis. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:16644725}.; FUNCTION: [Isoform 5]: Pro-apoptotic isoform. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:16365034}. | FUNCTION: Small GTP-binding protein which cycles between an inactive GDP-bound and an active GTP-bound form, and the rate of cycling is regulated by guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEF) and GTPase-activating proteins (GAP) (PubMed:16525022, PubMed:18588884). Required for normal cytokinesis and cilia signaling (PubMed:22085962). Requires assistance from GTPase-activating proteins (GAPs) like RP2 and PDE6D, in order to cycle between inactive GDP-bound and active GTP-bound forms. Required for targeting proteins to the cilium, including myristoylated NPHP3 and prenylated INPP5E (PubMed:30269812). Targets NPHP3 to the ciliary membrane by releasing myristoylated NPHP3 from UNC119B cargo adapter into the cilium (PubMed:22085962). Required for PKD1:PKD2 complex targeting from the trans-Golgi network to the cilium (By similarity). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q9WUL7, ECO:0000269|PubMed:16525022, ECO:0000269|PubMed:18588884, ECO:0000269|PubMed:22085962}. |
