FUNCTION: Functions as a transcriptional repressor through its association with the NuRD complex. Recruits the NuRD complex to the promoter of MDM2, leading to the repression of MDM2 transcription and subsequent stability of p53/TP53. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:22926524}. | FUNCTION: Receptor tyrosine kinase involved in the development and the maturation of the central and the peripheral nervous systems through regulation of neuron survival, proliferation, migration, differentiation, and synapse formation and plasticity (By similarity). Hence, it is able to suppress anoikis, the apoptosis resulting from loss of cell-matrix interactions.
