CSK | C15orf27 |
FUNCTION: Non-receptor tyrosine-protein kinase that plays an important role in the regulation of cell growth, differentiation, migration and immune response. Phosphorylates tyrosine residues located in the C-terminal tails of Src-family kinases (SFKs) including LCK, SRC, HCK, FYN, LYN, CSK or YES1. Upon tail phosphorylation, Src-family members engage in intramolecular interactions between the phosphotyrosine tail and the SH2 domain that result in an inactive conformation. To inhibit SFKs, CSK is recruited to the plasma membrane via binding to transmembrane proteins or adapter proteins located near the plasma membrane. Suppresses signaling by various surface receptors, including T-cell receptor (TCR) and B-cell receptor (BCR) by phosphorylating and maintaining inactive several positive effectors such as FYN or LCK. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:1639064, ECO:0000269|PubMed:9281320}. | FUNCTION: Voltage-sensor protein present on the post-synaptic side of glutamatergic mossy fibers and granule cells in the cerebellum (PubMed:25165868, PubMed:30810529). Despite the presence of a voltage-sensor segment, does not form a functional ion channel and its precise role remains unclear (PubMed:25165868, PubMed:30810529). Undergoes both rapid and slow structural rearrangements in response to changes in voltage (PubMed:30810529). Contains a zinc-binding site that can regulate the slow conformational transition (PubMed:30810529). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:25165868, ECO:0000269|PubMed:30810529}. |
Retention analysis result of each fusion partner protein across 39 protein features of UniProt such as six molecule processing features, 13 region features, four site features, six amino acid modification features, two natural variation features, five experimental info features, and 3 secondary structure features. Here, because of limited space for viewing, we only show the protein feature retention information belong to the 13 regional features. All retention annotation result can be downloaded at * Minus value of BPloci means that the break pointn is located before the CDS. |
