FUNCTION: Acts as an adapter for the receptor ERBB2, in epithelia. By binding the unphosphorylated 'Tyr-1248' of receptor ERBB2, it may contribute to stabilize this unphosphorylated state (PubMed:16203728). Inhibits NOD2-dependent NF-kappa-B signaling and pro-inflammatory cytokine secretion (PubMed:16203728). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:10878805, ECO:0000269|PubMed:16203728}.FUNCTION: Plays a role in a late step of leukocyte extravasation helping cells to overcome the endothelial basement membrane. Acts at the same site as, but independently of, PECAM1 (By similarity). Homophilic adhesion molecule, but these interactions may not be required for cell aggregation (By similarity). {ECO:0000250}.

check buttonRetention analysis result of each fusion partner protein across 39 protein features of UniProt such as six molecule processing features, 13 region features, four site features, six amino acid modification features, two natural variation features, five experimental info features, and 3 secondary structure features. Here, because of limited space for viewing, we only show the protein feature retention information belong to the 13 regional features. All retention annotation result can be downloaded at
