Kinase Fusion Protein Functional Features |
Four levels of functional features of fusion genes Go to FGviewer search page for the most frequent breakpoint (https://ccsmweb.uth.edu/FGviewer/:120003550/:43100233) - FGviewer provides the online visualization of the retention search of the protein functional features across DNA, RNA, protein, and pathological levels. - How to search 1. Put your fusion gene symbol. 2. Press the tab key until there will be shown the breakpoint information filled. 4. Go down and press 'Search' tab twice. 4. Go down to have the hyperlink of the search result. 5. Click the hyperlink. 6. See the FGviewer result for your fusion gene. |
Main function of each fusion partner protein. (from UniProt) |

FUNCTION: Integral membrane protein that functions as a NADPH-dependent ferric-chelate reductase, using NADPH from one side of the membrane to reduce a Fe(3+) chelate that is bound on the other side of the membrane (PubMed:26205815). Mediates sequential transmembrane electron transfer from NADPH to FAD and onto heme, and finally to the Fe(3+) chelate (By similarity). Can also reduce Cu(2+) to Cu(1+) (By similarity). Mediates efficient transferrin-dependent iron uptake in erythroid cells (By similarity). May play a role downstream of p53/TP53 to interface apoptosis and cell cycle progression (By similarity). Indirectly involved in exosome secretion by facilitating the secretion of proteins such as TCTP (PubMed:15319436, PubMed:16651434). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q5RKL5, ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q687X5, ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q8CI59, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15319436, ECO:0000269|PubMed:16651434, ECO:0000269|PubMed:26205815}. | FUNCTION: Inactive tyrosine kinase involved in Wnt signaling pathway. Component of both the non-canonical (also known as the Wnt/planar cell polarity signaling) and the canonical Wnt signaling pathway. Functions in cell adhesion, cell migration, cell polarity, proliferation, actin cytoskeleton reorganization and apoptosis. Has a role in embryogenesis, epithelial tissue organization and angiogenesis. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:18471990, ECO:0000269|PubMed:20558616, ECO:0000269|PubMed:20837484, ECO:0000269|PubMed:21103379, ECO:0000269|PubMed:21132015}. |
Retention analysis result of each fusion partner protein across 39 protein features of UniProt such as six molecule processing features, 13 region features, four site features, six amino acid modification features, two natural variation features, five experimental info features, and 3 secondary structure features. Here, because of limited space for viewing, we only show the protein feature retention information belong to the 13 regional features. All retention annotation result can be downloaded at * Minus value of BPloci means that the break pointn is located before the CDS. |
