FUNCTION: Pseudokinase which, in complex with CAB39/MO25 (CAB39/MO25alpha or CAB39L/MO25beta), binds to and activates STK11/LKB1. Adopts a closed conformation typical of active protein kinases and binds STK11/LKB1 as a pseudosubstrate, promoting conformational change of STK11/LKB1 in an active conformation (By similarity). {ECO:0000250, ECO:0000269|PubMed:14517248}. | FUNCTION: Required for 60S ribosomal subunit biogenesis. Core component of box C/D small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein (snoRNP) particles. Required for the biogenesis of box C/D snoRNAs such as U3, U8 and U14 snoRNAs. Part of the small subunit (SSU) processome, first precursor of the small eukaryotic ribosomal subunit.
